FLOUR TORTILLAS

3 CUPS ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
1 TSP. SALT
2 TSP. BAKING POWDER
1 CUP WARM WATER (110-DEGREES)

Mix flour, salt and baking powder.
Slowly add water, stirring until mixture barely begins to hold together.
Work dough with hands to form a single mass, and turn out on floured board.
Knead dough until smooth.
Divide into 12 pieces.
Cover pieces with damp towel or plastic wrap.
Let rest 15 minutes.
Flatten each ball with the heel of your hand onto a lightly floured board.
Roll into an 8-incb circle, turning the round by quarter turns as it flattens.
Immediately cook on ungreased skillet on mediui-high heat.
As the tortilla cooks, press down with spatula.
Serve immediately.
Extras may be wrapped in air-tight bag and frozen.
